Jersey Shore State Bank supports library learning through EITC donation

Williamsport, Pa. — The James V. Brown Library was the recent recipient of a $5,000 contribution from Jersey Shore State Bank through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

The program provides tax credits to eligible businesses when they contribute to scholarship organizations, educational improvement organizations, and/or pre-K scholarship organizations.

Funds from the donation will be allocated to the following library programs:

Boom, Fizz, POP! — A science-standard-based program for K-2 students.

I Spy Photography — A K-2 program that engages children in creative thinking and expression through arts and photography.

Digital Arts Camp — A digital programming camp featuring various digital programming applications from animation to film to robotics for those in grades 4 and older.

Teen Comic and Manga Club — A grade 6-12 program that lets teens imagine and create original comics and build claymation creations for stop-motion videos.

Summer learning programs — An assortment of activities to keep children’s minds active during the summer months.
